Pollock’s Official 43 Years Of Star Wars 1977 2020 Signature Shirt was not random. He utilized drip/pouring like someone would utilize pointillism but his imagery was purely abstract and he broke ground while doing it. I don’t think most people have seen one in person TBH. They certainly don’t translate well to a tiny snapshot on your computer. The scale is one thing but you also cant get a feel for the texture and layers unless you see one in person. I liked Pollock before I saw one but once you see one in person it’s pretty mesmerizing. I understand what you’re saying, but comparing this to Pollock is ridiculous. He didn’t “get famous” because someone decided to make it so, his work is beautiful and original. Ok, I’ll bite – I genuinely enjoy Official 43 Years Of Star Wars 1977 2020 Signature Shirt pollock, and I don’t think his art would be easy to imitate. Take this for example. Yes, it’s chaotic, no it doesn’t look like anything really. But I find it very interesting to look at, and I’d love to hang it on my wall if I could get it for cheap. For the people who think it’s easy, go ahead and give it an earnest try. I have very little experience with painting, but every once in a while I enjoy getting some cheap paints and trying to paint some abstract nonsense. Only once or twice have I ended up with something I thought looked good. Other times I was pretty unhappy with the result. Try splattering some paint on a canvas (or paper to be cheap) and ask yourself if it honestly looks like a Jackson Pollock painting. I’m very confident it won’t.
